We're very excited to be able to bring these innovative, environmentally friendly, and very attractive containers to our maple syrup producing colleagues..

In 2018 we were first introduced to the 500ml metal "barrel" containers and were immediately impressed. We quickly adopted them as our standard 500ml container and they were an immediate hit.  We've had lots of our customers specifically request them, even preferring to buy two of them rather than a single 1000ml plastic container.

Our Maple Syrup customers like them for a variety of reasons:

• They are fully recyclable, even in areas where plastics sometimes aren't.
• They are reusable - they make great water bottles once the maple syrup has been consumed.
• They are lighter-weight than glass containers and so are easier to travel with - important when the syrup is destined for a travel gift.
• The bottles are attractive and are immediately recognizable as a distinctly Canadian product. This is also a plus when they are being purchased for gifts.
• They are 100% BPA Free, food-grade, and safe.

As Maple Syrup producers, we like them because:

• They provide a longer shelf life for our syrup than most other containers (three years).
• All the required nutritional information, traceability markings, and space for our company information is provided in an attractive way
• The caps are easy to close and are secure, and the cap is provided with a "Pop-up" feature, making it easy to see that the cap is secure and hasn't been tampered with.
• They don't impart any additional tastes at all to the syrup.
• They are light weight and so help keep shipping costs down, reduce carbon footprint, and are good for the environment
• The thin container walls make more efficient use of space compared to plastic or glass, and they are stackable
• And, of course, our customers love them!

They are currently available in a 500ml size and come in two colour schemes - "Amber" and "Light".  Either colour can be used for any grade of syrup - just affix the appropriate grading sticker to the container and you're all set.
